About Ginger Creative

The story behind Edinburgh's friendliest creative studio.

Scott Cairney - Chef Doodler at Ginger Creative

Hi, I'm Scott

The Chef Doodler

I'm the ginger behind Ginger Creative - a one-person creative studio based right here in Edinburgh. I've always been the kind of person who doodles on everything (notebooks, napkins, the occasional important document), and somewhere along the way, I turned that into a career.

After years of working in the creative industry, I decided to go it alone and build something that reflects how I think design should be done - with warmth, personality, and a genuine love for what I do. No corporate jargon. No cookie-cutter templates. Just honest, creative work that makes businesses stand out.

Whether you're a wee cafe on the Royal Mile or a startup with big dreams, I treat every project like it's my own. Because when your brand looks class, we both look class.

Good design should feel like a conversation, not a corporate presentation.

How I Work

A few things I believe in when it comes to creative work.

Listen First

Every project starts with a proper chat. I need to understand your business, your audience, and what makes you tick before I pick up a pen.

Keep It Fun

Design should be enjoyable - for both of us. I bring energy and enthusiasm to every project because life's too short for boring brands.

Pixel Perfect

I obsess over the details so you don't have to. Every curve, colour, and pixel is considered to make sure your brand looks its absolute best.

On Time, On Budget

Creativity shouldn't mean chaos. I deliver on time, communicate clearly, and make sure there are no surprises when the invoice arrives.

Proudly Edinburgh

This city is at the heart of everything I do.

Edinburgh is one of the most creative cities in the world, and I'm proud to call it home. From the cobbled streets of the Old Town to the buzz of the festival season, this city inspires everything I create.

I work with businesses right across Edinburgh and beyond - from independent cafes on Leith Walk to startups in the tech quarter. There's something special about working with local businesses and helping them build brands that reflect the character of this incredible city.

Whether we're meeting for a coffee on Cockburn Street or chatting over a video call, I'm always up for a blether about your next big idea.

Fancy working together?

I'd love to hear about your project. Let's grab a coffee and talk about how we can make your brand brilliant.
